Learn the basics of using different kinds of lighting from natural/available, constant, and studio strobes/flash. Students must bring their DSLR camera with knowledge of how to use the manual settings.

Telling Your Own Story

We all have stories. Stories have power. Come learn the art of putting your story into a funny, provocative, serious, sad, powerful, or life changing experience. This is a chance to take that simple anecdote and weave it into an experience that lets others see a part of you that you may not even know existed. Students should come with pen/pencil and notebook. Class has been postponed & will begin on 5/1 instead.
PC Maintenance, Repair, & Upgrade

This course is an introduction to maintaining PC systems, with a focus on periodic maintenance actions, troubleshooting system issues and basic repairs, and upgrading/replacing system options. Topics include: identification and basic understanding of key hardware components, identification and basic understanding of operating systems and key applications, periodic maintenance steps of hardware and software. Classroom computers are available, but students are welcome to bring personal laptops, tablets, and smartphones to work with.
Maine Driving Dynamics

Maine Driving Dynamics is a driver improvement course that is designed to improve a student's defensive driving awareness. This five-hour session includes discussion of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits, attitudes, and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine's highways. Date has been changed from 4/23 & 4/25 to 5/21 & 5/23.
