Landlord Tenant Law 101

This seminar will provide a brief overview of the law for new or prospective landlords. Among the topics covered will be a landlord's legal rights and responsibilities, a tenant's legal rights and responsibilities, evictions, fair housing, leases, tenancies, at-will, and other legal issues commonly faced by landlords. The course will be taught by Nancy Schiff-Slater of Pine Tree Legal and Matthew Mastrogiacomo of the Mastrogiacomo Law Office. Both attorneys practice in Lewiston. Ms. Schiff-Slater has represented hundreds of tenants over the past decade, and Mr. Mastrogiacomo has represented hundreds of landlords during the same period.

Do you want to be certified as a Notary? Learn the laws that Notaries must adhere to and learn what a Notary can and cannot do. Notary exam will be given at the end of the course. You will need to take your application to City Hall in order to receive certification. Certification fee is not included. You must bring a current picture ID (license, passport, social security card and birth certificate, or military ID) to class. There is an additional $10 lab fee for this class.
