Archery Safety/Online

This class will include an online portion on www.Bowhunter-Ed.com and a six-hour classroom portion at Central Maine Powersports in Lewiston to cover how to safely use a bow and arrow while hunting in Maine. A member of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife will teach the class. It will not require any bows be brought to the class. But students must register with Lewiston Adult Ed, complete the online portion, bring voucher, survival kit and pen and paper to class.

Crossbow Safety

During this one-day course, a member of the Maine IF&W will review the proper use of a crossbow. Students must register for this class with Lewiston Adult Ed, provide the required proof of completion (as stated in the link), a survival kit, pen and paper.

Hip Hop Dance

Whether you know how to do the running man or not, Hip Hop Dance offers a fun way to learn a few moves and exercise at the same time. Becki Leighton will use some familiar songs to make the class even more enjoyable.

Hunter Safety/Online

Central Maine Powersports in Lewiston will host the one-day classroom portion of the hunter safety class taught by a member of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. The online learning section of class will be the responsibility of students. They should bring their voucher, survival kit, as well as pen and paper to class to take notes. They should have registered with Lewiston Adult Ed and completed the online portion at www.Hunter-ed.com before the start of class.

Preparing for Maple Sugar Season

Preparing for maple sugar means a lot more than hammering taps into a tree. Take a one-night lesson from Ed Jillson of Jillson's Farm in Sabattus in order to find out the kind of preparation need to have a sweet maple sugar season ahead of you.

Each class is 60 minutes long. We begin with a 10-minute warmup, then dive into Latin-inspired rhythms. Salsa, Merengue, Reggaton, Cumba. Classes have a high and low intensity within each dance routine, strengthening your heart and maximizing calorie burn. Class ends with a cool down song and stretch.
