Excel II will guide you through the next-level skills needed to utilize these powerful tools to their full potential. Areas of focus will include: inputting and manipulation of formulas, creation of charts and diagrams, use of data filters and sorts, V look-ups and more. Prerequisite: MS Excel I or comparable Excel experience.

Medical Terminology

This class is an introduction to the language of medicine. One of the first steps in preparing for a career in the medical field involves learning the terms used on the job. Students will gain an understanding of basic elements, rules of building and analyzing medical words, and terms associated with the body. Utilizing a building approach you will learn to define, interpret, and pronounce medical terms. Common abbreviations to each body system will be reviewed. No previous knowledge of biology is needed. Find out the difference between a code blue (an emergency) and a red cell count (the number of red blood cells within a certain amount of blood). To be successful in this course completion of assignments, readings, and homework is essential. Please bring your textbook to every class. Book information will be provided upon registration.
