Rug Braiding II

If you have rug braiding experience, this class will take your talents to the next level or allow you to finish a previously started project. You will experiment by making a round, rectangular, or heart-shaped rug. Supply list: three pieces of wool, 1.5 yards each, three colors. If purchased by the pound, two pounds of each color. One braidkin lacing needle. Nine-ply splicing cotton for lacing. One braiding stand. Supplies can be purchased at: Fabric Warehouse in Auburn, 207-784-7151; Oxford Mill End Store in Oxford, 207-539-4451 and Maine Thread & Machine, Lewiston, 207-784-7770. Maine Thread has nine-ply splicing cotton only. Advanced students may bring their own projects.
