United Ambulance (EMT)

This is a State of Maine approved EMT course which prepares students for entry level work on an ambulance. This is a fast-paced course utilizing an online platform to enhance learning and classroom activities. The majority of your course work will be done online on your own computer. There will also be face-to-face in-class sessions with your instructor to learn the practical skills needed to be an EMT. Students can expect to spend a minimum of 25 hours each week on the course doing the required reading and assignments. A minimum of 20 clinical hours are also required. Additional clinical time may be required to complete the clinical objectives. All students will be required to provide immunization documentation prior to clinical. Students who successfully complete this course are eligible to sit for the National Registry EMT (NREMT) exam. NREMT Practical testing fees are included in price of this course. Written testing fees and Maine licensing fees are NOT included. Course fee includes: Textbook, background check, access to MyBradyLab, EMT Test prep, clinical shirt. The class will be held on Aug. 27, Sept. 3, Sept. 10, Sept. 17, Sept. 24, Oct. 1, Oct. 8, Oct. 15, Oct. 22, Oct. 29, Nov. 5, Nov. 12, Nov. 19, Nov. 26 and Dec. 3.
